The second part of the “E-wastes dangerous for the environment and human health” eco-project was held in Warszawa – Zerzeń in the Assumption of the B.V.M. Parish on 29th September 2018. By dint of the intercession of our priest Christopher, we had sunny weather guaranteed. The rest was complemented by the inhabitants of Warszawa – Zerzeń. With no traffic jams or hurry, with no noise or nervousness, cars, bicycles and trolleys filled up with used-up electrical and electronic hardware and batteries were coming in. AURAEKO educational stand was visited by entire families with children, and sometimes even with a dog, which was watching to check if everything was fine.

From 9 am to 3 pm, we collected more than 3,000 kg of used-up hardware. A perfect result! If it had not been for this one haunting question recurring in all projects and actions: how much hardware is still held by its users? Should we estimate this amount as hundreds of thousands of tonnes or hundreds of millions of tonnes, or even more?
